Do you have an abundance of eggs or do you just want to save eggs so you have them over the winter months when egg production is at its lowest? Water Glassing Chicken Eggs is a great way to solve that problem on your homestead. Water Glassing Eggs is simple and very effective. Eggs can last nearly 2 years under perfect conditions.

Lets walk through the step by step process to Water Glass Chicken Eggs.

Tip: Make sure that the eggs are clean eggs, no debris or chicken poop. You don’t have to wash them before if they are clean. They will last longer this way.

Step 1 – Fill a mason jar (Pint) with water. Tap water is fine but filtered or distilled water works best.

Step 2 – Add 4 Tbs of pickling lime to the jar and stir.

Step 3 – Place eggs gently into the jar, using a small tongs helps a lot with the first few. 🥚 The size of the egg will depend on how many eggs you get in each jar.

The eggs 🥚are typically good for 1-2 years on a shelf like this!
