Our Story

We bought this little 100 year old abandoned homestead with every penny we had in 2022. Lived in a tiny old camper out here for 3-4 months while we made the house livable, then started cleaning up/building shelters for animals.🙈 We have been learning everything as we go.. It’s been quite a journey & we have learned SO much. Right now we have chickens, ducks, cattle, horses, pigs, dogs, & cats.

This lifestyle has helped me more than I ever could have imagined & I don’t know where I would be if we wouldn’t have taken the leap of faith & moved out here. I’ve been working through a lot of grief/trauma over the past 3 years & have overcome substance abuse. So glad I didn’t stay in my comfort zone & decided to try new things! 🙌🏽

I love that so many people are following along with us on this adventure as we bring this old homestead back to life! We first started this page to show people you can be low middle class / come from nothing / be from the city & still start a little homestead! It just may not look super pretty.. lol

We hope to one day make this place a cute little farm where we can have people come out & enjoy our animals/land as a form of therapy 🫶🏼
